Best Guacamole
Guacamole is deliciously simple to make and can elevate many other dishes. For example, add some to tacos, burritos, avocado toast with a sunny-side up egg for breakfast! Or, have it with some tortilla chips.

Ingredients:
- 5 avocados
- 1/4 of a white or red onion
- 1 jalapeño pepper (remove seeds for less heat or keep the seeds in for extra spice)
- 1 Roma tomato (this tomato is less watery than other types of tomatoes)
- 1 lime (1 1/2 tablespoons)
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon of Salt
- 2 tablespoons of fresh Cilantro roughly chopped (optional as it tastes like soap for some people)

Recipe:
To start, half the avocados and remove the pits. Scoop the flesh into a bowl and mash. Do you prefer your guacamole chunky or smooth? Here is where you get to decide the consistency.
Next, add in 1 & 1/2 tablespoons of lime juice and 1/2 a teaspoon of salt. However, feel free to add more lime juice or salt. It’s your Guac, make it how you like!
Dice the Roma tomato and 1/4 onion. Cut the jalapeño in half and decide how much heat you want. The seeds carry extra heat so either scoop the seeds out and discard them or add them in. Also, you can add a couple seeds if you’re working on your spice tolerance. Use either half or the whole jalapeño. Either way, chop the jalapeño up into tiny pieces. Then mince your clove of garlic.
Finally, add your diced onion, tomato, jalapeño and minced garlic to the bowl containing your mashed up Guac. Give it a stir to incorporate and enjoy!
Be sure to store in an airtight container. You may see some browning on the top but it’s just oxidization and perfectly fine to eat. Just mix the Guac up and the discolouration disappears.
