This Mango Vanilla Protein Smoothie is super enjoyable after a workout. It’s sweet from the mango and lime but balanced from the Greek yogurt and vanilla whey protein powder. I used frozen mango, added all the ingredients to the blender (screwed the lid on) and stored it in the fridge overnight to blend in the morning. The idea is to remove any friction from getting good nutrition in during the day. In other words, hitting blend on a pre-made smoothie is much easier than making one from scratch after a workout. So here is how you can make it too:

Ingredients:

  • 200 ml of Milk (dairy or non-dairy is fine) or water if you like a thinner consistency in your smoothie. I used Silk Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1 scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein powder (I used BioSteel 100% Whey Protein Vanilla powder but feel free to skip this ingredient or use whatever protein powder you prefer)
  • 100g of Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups Mango (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 Tbsp lime juice

Recipe:

Starting with your liquid ingredients you will add your milk or water to the blender, followed by your scoop of protein powder, plain Greek yogurt and mango. Finish with some lime juice. Trust me, the lime juice is a worthwhile addition! It truly enhances the flavours. Blend until smooth and then pour into a glass. If using fresh mango, feel free to add a wedge to the glass rim as garnish and enjoy!
